Description

The work consists of demolishing and removing the existing north and south timber fenders (3 control structures with 4 guidewalls each); furnishing, delivering and driving new treated timber piles and new plastic piles; furnishing materials, deliveri ng materials and constructing new guidewalls and fenders including plastic wales, plastic thrust blocks, plastic shear blocks, plastic girts and conventional treated timber members; furnishing materials, delivering materials and installing new electrical w ork; delivering materials and installing 4 new stairs; and other incidental work. This is an Unrestricted procurement. NAICS: 237990, FSC: Y299. Solicitation will be issued on or about 14 August 2006 and Bid Opening Date of on or about 14 September 2006. The magnitude for this solicitation is estimated to be between $1 - $5 million. For security reasons, all technical and engineering data related to this solicitation will be distributed using the Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeDS) system. FedTeDS is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information for all Federal agencies. Interested bidders must register with FedTeDS before accessing the system. Registration instructions can be found on the FedTeDS website (http s://www.fedteds.gov) by clicking on the Register with FedTeDS hyperlink. Contractors registered with the Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeDS) may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the Internet after solicitation issuance at the following Internet address: https://www.fedteds.gov/fedteds/start.nsf/frm.vendorlogin?openform&SolicitationNumber=W912P8-06-B-0102.
