Description

This synopsis provides notice of the Government's intent to solicit a proposal on a sole source basis with Symmetricom, 3750 Westwind Blvd., Santa Rosa, CA 95403, for the items listed below. The contract type is anticipated to be a Firm Fixed Price commercial type contract. The Contract Line Item Numbers and descriptions are: CLIN 0008 - Extended Warranty for P/N 652-HAE-SAASM-100 Model Xli SAASM 2U - two (2) year additional warranty for a total of three (3) years (6 each); CLIN 0016 - Extended Warranty for P/N 1510-652 Model Xli 2U - two (2) year additional warranty for a total of three (3) years (2 each); CLIN 0025 - Extended Warranty for P/N 652-HAE-SAASM-100 Model Xli SAASM 2U - two (2) year additional warranty for a total of three (3) years (4 each); CLIN 0034 - Extended Warranty for P/N 652-HAE-SAASM-100 Model Xli SAASM 2U - two (2) year additional warranty for a total of three (3) years (4 each); CLIN 0037 - Extended Warranty for P/N 1520-S250 SyncServer S250 - one (1) year additional warranty for a total of three (2) years (8 each); CLIN 0009 - Symmetricom P/N 150-709 Lightning Arrestor +25 ft. Antenna Cable (60 each) to include shipping if any. The lightning arrestors will be used with Symmetricom XLi SAASM GPS Receivers and must maintain interoperability with currently fielded systems. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Symmetricom is the only known source capable of satisfying the Government's minimum requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any information received. Anticipated award date is 25 January 2007.
