- SCOPE OF REQUIREMENT: The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) requires guest rooms, meeting rooms, and hotel services of a qualified hotel for OCC's Market Risk Conference to be held in September or October 2007 in Atlanta, GA or in Boston, MA or in Philadelphia, PA or in Chicago, IL. This is a four and a half-day conference. The estimated maximum number of guest rooms per night is 375. The program may consist of a general session on two days for 400; a number of concurrent sessions for 150, 90 and 40 classroom style on three days; continental breakfasts; a reception; and a number of refreshment breaks. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: The hotel must 1) be compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law 101-391) and hold a FEMA certification number; 2) be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq. (ADA); and 3) have one of the following ratings: First class or higher per the Hotel & Travel Index; three diamonds or higher per AAA; three crowns or higher per the OAG Business Travel Planner. HOW TO ACQUIRE A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION: The OCC anticipates issuing the solicitation at this web site in January 2007. The solicitation document will contain the conference requirements, the instructions for submitting a quote, and how the quotes will be evaluated. This is NOT a small business set-aside. It is a full and open competition using simplified acquisition procedures. All responsible vendors may submit a quote that will be considered by the OCC. OCC anticipates awarding the contract in March 2007.
