Description

The Uniformed Services University of the Health and Sciences (USUHS), Bethesda, MD intends to acquire on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR PT. 13.106-(b) (1)302-1 with Thomson Scientific for one year site license for medical and academic subscriptions. This item is being procured as a commercial item in accordance with the procedures of FAR Part 12 Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Uniformed Services University and Army Medical Research & Material Command require access to the information contained in these publications. Sole source determination is based on the vendors being the publisher and sole provider of electronic access. The online data base is for the following subscriptions: Journal Citation Reports Science and Social Science editions and Current Contents Connect editions. This is not Request for Proposals (RFP). However, all interested parties may contact the Contracting Specialist for details. Sources interested in responding to this requirement must be able to provide convincing evidence that they posses the requisite expertise and experience to successfully supply the system specified above. Responses must be in writing and must be received in the office by June 29, 2006.
