Description
Project 061008: On-Call Asbestos/Lead Paint Base-wide. The Air Force is seeking sources for a potential 100 percent set-aside for HUBZone or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. IF ADEQUATE RESPONSES ARE NOT RECEIVED, THE ACQUISTION MAY BE SOLICIATED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS. Project is to perform removal of asbestos (in its many forms and uses) in connection with Base Wide Asbestos On-Call to accomplish a broad range of asbestos removal work at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. The Asbestos On-Call will consist of routine removal and emergency (RAC1, RAC2) response in support of the Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements (SABER) contracts and Time and Material task orders. Removal for high priority mission impact functions, throughout Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio facilities. This includes removals and miscellaneous work as specified by each task order. Because of the need to meet emergency requirements, only contracts within a fifty (50) mile radius of Wright-Patterson AFB shall be considered. Prime contractors who are HUBZone or SDVOSB and who intend to submit a bid for this solicitation MUST submit the following information by 4:00 p.m. (local Dayton, OH time) on 02 June 2006: (1) A positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a Prime Contractor; (2) Date of HUBZone and/or SDVOSB certification; and (3) Listing of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contact with their phone numbers; (4) Evidence of capability to be bonded for bid, performance and payment bonds; (5) If you are an 8(a) or HUBZone considering a joint adventure, you will need to provide proof that this consideration has been forwarded to the cognizant SBA office for approval. Firms interested should provide the above documentation, in one original and one copy. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on the availability of interested HUBZone or SDVOSB concerns. Responses shall be limited to 5 pages. Failure to submit all information requested would result in a contractor being considered “not interested” in this requirement. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a set-aside or an unrestricted basis will be posted as a modification in Federal Business Opportunities.
