Description

This modification issued to provide questions and answers to subject solicitation and to extend closing date to 26 January 2007 at 2:30pm PST. Q1. Please provide information regarding number of gallons, or amount of square feet to be treated with end use of those areas. A1. Dust control product for consolidated surfaces within 5 miles of a water point - 21,000 gallons Dust control product for consolidated surfaces greater than 5 miles from a water point - 15,500 gallons Dust control product for unconsolidated surfaces within 5 miles of a water point - 3,000 gallons Q2. What is the unit for bidding (example: $/gallon, $/acre, etc.). This project requires using different application rates of the 2 chemicals requested which will dramatically influence the cost to treat a specific site depending on which product is used and how much is applied. Therefore, to bid the solicitation on a pe r gallon (and per chemical) price that includes delivery and application seems to make the most sense. A2. Unit of bidding is per gallon. Price proposed shall be inclusive of product, delivery and application. Q3. Are there any statistics on previous use and projected use (gallons used, miles treated, etc.)? If so how can they be obtained? A3. PLease refer to Q1 and A1 above. For those questions not addressed in this amendment a follow on a amendment is forthcoming.
