- THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ARE PROVIDED FOR THE JMDS DRAFT RFP STATEMENT OF WORK AND THE PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATION. OFFERORS ARE REMINDED THAT THE DRAFT REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) DOCUMENTS CONSISTING OF THE STATEMENT OF WORK AND PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATION FOR THE JMDS WERE PROVIDED SOLELY FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES. THEY MAY BE REVISED AND OFFERORS ARE CAUTIONED TO ENSURE THEY UTILIZE THE FINAL VERSION OF THESE DOCUMENTS WHICH WILL BE POSTED WHEN THE FINAL RFP IS ISSUED. THE FINAL RFP WILL BE THE CONTROLLING DOCUMENT FOR PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS. IT WIL L BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THOSE RESPONDENTS TO OBTAIN ALL AMENDMENTS AND APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS. -------STATEMENT OF WORK QUESTIONS------- QUESTION 1. Will final RFP list the LRIP quantity and production quantity?----ANSWER----Yes, all quantities will be listed in the final RFP. QUESTION 2. Will a DD254 be part of the RFP or issued as part of the contract? ----ANSWER----Yes. DD254 will be provided with the RFP. QUESTION 3. Which of the Government Test Facilities listed in paragraph C.3.6.1.1 will be performing the material compatibility tests for JMDS? ----ANSWER----Dugway Proving Ground is primary and Aberdeen Test Center (ECBC) is the alternate depending on sc hedule and availability. -----------PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATION QUESTIONS----------- QUESTION 4 Paragraph 2.2.1 references MIL-HNBK-781A: Should this be MIL-STD-781A?----ANSWER----MIL-STD-781A dated 17 Oct 96 is canceled and information from this standard is now contained in MIL-HDBK-781A. QUESTION 5 Paragraphs 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.3.1 and 3.3.2, appear to be limits derived from a liquid decontamination specification. Will these limits be revised to be more consistent with the gaseous/plasma decontamination system being requested in the SOW?---- ANSWER----No. The requirements will not change. QUESTION 6. Paragraph 3.1.1 Table 3: What method will be used to determine the reduction of viable biological agents from 1E8 down to 1E2 (T-1) or down to 0.0 (O-1/T-II) over a one square meter area?----ANSWER----The contractor shall determine the method t o measure reduction. QUESTION 7. Paragraph 3.1.8: Will this requirement be revised to show the TIC contaminant level prior to decontamination?----ANSWER----Paragraph 3.1.8 will be revised in the final RFP. QUESTION 8. Paragraphs 3.5.8, 3.5.9, and 3.5.14, appear to have limits derived from a liquid decontamination specification. Will these limits be revised to be more consistent with a large gaseous/plasma decontamination system as being requested in the SO W?----ANSWER----No. The requirements will not change. QUESTION 9. Appendix A: Materials Compatibilities Testing; appears to have limits/tests derived from a liquid decontamination specification. Will these limits/tests be revised to be more consistent with a gaseous/plasma decontamination system as being re quested in the SOW?----ANSWER----No. The requirements will not change.
