Description
LOG INTO https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ and search for the solicitation to down load the solicitation package. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemente d with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers requires the acquisition of acetyle ne flammable gas, and oxygen non-flammable gas. Both the acetylene and oxygen are to be supplied in the large cylinder, 300 cubic feet volume. The contract will be for a base and four (1) year option periods. Cylinders will be ordered orally on an as needed basis. The Contractor will be paid only for actual number of cylinders ordered. Within 3 days of an oral order, the contractor will deliver the ordered cylinders to the delivery point as indicated in the oral order. Shipments are received bet ween 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, Federal Holidays excluded. The contractor will provide delivery of the product on an as needed basis to: U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, PEWRS, 3500 Grand Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15225 On occasion the delivery site will be within 100 miles of 3500 Grand Ave., Pittsburgh, PA, at one of the Locks & Dams within the Pittsburgh District. When the cylinders are no longer needed they will be picked up by the contractor within 3 days of an oral turn-in at 35 00 Grand Ave., Pittsburgh, PA. Demurrage  payment will be made for actual number of cylinders per day in the possession of the government in accordance with the contract. The lump sum amount is an estimation based on the number of cylinders in the poss ession of the Government. This amount will be adjusted to reflect a change in demurrage, as necessary, by issuance of a unilateral modification to the contact by the Contracting Officer. Approximately 50 cylinders each of oxygen and acetylene will be ma intained at PEWRS, 3500 Grand Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA.
