Description
With reference to Request For Information (RFI), N68335-07-RFI-0000, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst is seeking sources to manufacture, assemble test/inspect and produce the ADU-567/E Wing/Fin Guard Adapter (P/N: 6SE01170-1) in accordance with Government furnished drawing package data list DL6SE01170; and (2) the services and materials as required to manufacture, assemble test/inspect and produce the ADU-514A/E Small Missile Adapter (P/N: 1763AS700-2) in accordance with Government furnished drawing package data list DL1763AS700. The ADU-567/E Wing/Fin Guard Adapter (P/N: 6SE01170-1) consists of a main tube weldment, tube extension, pivot tube, two guards, and retractable spring locking plungers. The purpose of the ADU-567/E Wing/Fin Guard Adapter (P/N: 6SE01170-1) is to provide protection for SIDEWINDER AIM-9 wings and fins when attached to Small Missile Adaptor ADU-514A/E and ADU-514A/E assemblies during transporting and handling. The ADU-514A/E Small Missile Adapter (P/N: 1763AS700-2) is as aluminum weldment which consists of lower and upper frames with support pads, two slide blocks, and a buckle and strap assemblies. The purpose of the ADU-514A/E Small Missile Adapter (P/N: 1763AS700-2) is to be used, in pairs, on a variety of weapon skids, transporters, and trailers to transport missiles. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The contract will consist of a one (1) year base and two (2) option periods. The required basic quantity for the ADU-567/E Wing/Fin Guard Adapter (P/N: 6SE01170-1) is two (2) Preproduction or First Article Units and seventy-eight (78) Production Units. The required basic quantity for the ADU-514A/E Small Missile Adapter (P/N: 1763AS700-2) is two (2) Preproduction or First Article Units and ninety-eight (98) Production Units. This procurement shall also require technical data requirements. This procurement is 100% TOTAL SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The solicitation will be posted on the NAVAIR homepage located at http://www.navair.navy.mil. Select "Doing Business" and then "Open Solicitations." Look for amendments on the web page. Hard copy of solicitations and amendments will NOT be mailed to contractors. The solicitation will be posted on the web, on or about 15 February 2007. The Government will not accept electronic offers. Interested Firms should request a copy of the Drawing Package. Drawing Package will not be available until after release of the solicitation.
