- Description
- The John D. Dingell VA Medical Center is seeking companies which can provide food service at our Domiciliary Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (DRRTP) which is located at an off-site location in Detroit, Michigan. The contractor must be a full-time food service provider, specializing in hospital. Contractor must have been in business for a minimum of the last three years. The contractor must be able to meet Hospital food service requirements. The contractor will be required to deliver 1 to 50 bulk meals for residents three times daily, seven days a week, 365 days per year including holidays. As the number of residents in the program will be fluctuating, DRRTP staff will prepare an order list, at least weekly and send it to the contractor. The order list shall include the number of meals required daily and will also include the number of box lunches required. Additionally, any special dietary guidelines necessary may be communicated at that time. Meals must be furnished as follows: BREAKFAST: A continental breakfast will be required Monday through Saturday. Hot breakfast will be serviced on Sundays and Holidays. LUNCH: A hot lunch is to be delivered daily, however a portion of the lunches may need to be box lunches for working residents. These box lunches must be delivered with the breakfast.
