Description

The Contracting Center of Excellence (CCE) on behalf of the Office of the U.S.Army Pentagon Library & Information Directorate intends to award a sole source contract to Visionary Technology in Library Solutions (VTLS), 1701 Kraft Dr. Blacksburg Va, 2 4060-6350, to provide maintenance of the Pentagon library systems. VTLS is a library system of approximately 200,000 records. The library tracks significant activities within the integrated library system Virtua: acquisition of materials by order record, r eceipt, payment, voucher, and invoice; circulation of materials in and out of the system; patron accounts; reserves or holds on items; cataloging and inventory control; interlibrary loan; reports for usage and item statistics; and the public web catalog. V TLS holds exclusive license agreements rights to this product. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all capability statements received by 26 Jan 2007, 4:00 PM. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this n otice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
