- THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION, IT IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). NASA does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this information or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subsection 31.205-18, Bid and Proposal costs of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) hopes to formulate a requirement for a Thrust Vector Control Hydraulic System Hydraulic Reservoir based on the responses to this RFI. This RFI is to provide the opportunity to verify the prospective requirements and identify potential offerors. NASA GRC is requesting information to assist it in planning for the procurement of a Thrust Vector Control Hydraulic System Hydraulic Reservoir to be used in the simplified breadboard testing of a representative hydraulic system including a hydraulic actuator to simulate engine actuation. Please see the attached file entitled TVC Hydraulic System Hydraulic Reservoir. This RFI has no overall page limit and no response will be excluded from review. ALL PROPRIETARY INFORMATION SHOULD BE MARKED. RESPONSES WILL BE HANDLED ACCORDINGLY. SUBMIT RESPONSES ELECTRONICALLY TO THE FOLLOWING EMAIL ADDRESS NO LATER THAN CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON FEBRUARY 2, 2007: thomas.g.kraft@nasa.gov. This RFI should not be construed as a commitment by the Government. Respondents will not be notified of the results. In the event a solicitation is issued, any information related to the solicitation will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on the Internet site for the NASA GRC Business Opportunities home page which is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=22 . It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments, if any.
