Description

The intent of this contract is to provide mandatory shuttle bus systems for visitors to access the Reds Meadow area of the Inyo National Forest. The shuttle bus system is part of a Forest Service Fee Collection Program, known as the Reds Meadow Transportation System. Contractor will furnish everything?including, but not limited to, all equipment, supplies, transportation, labor and supervision. The base period is approximately June 9, 2007 through September 3, 2007, with two (2) additional option periods of approximately June 14, 2008 through September 1, 2008, and June 13, 2009 through September 7, 2009. There will be no pre-bid meeting and/or tour. Estimated starting date is the 2nd Saturday in June 2007, unless delayed by snow removal. The project is located on the Inyo National Forest, Mammoth/Mono Lake Ranger Districts. Access to Reds Meadow is located at the end of State Hwy 203. The Town of Mammoth Lakes is located on State Hwy 203, accessed from the scenic Highway 395 corridor. The Town of Mammoth Lakes is approximately 45 miles north of Bishop, California and approximately 180 miles south of Reno, Nevada. The solicitation package will be posted at this Internet site on approximately February 27, 2007.
