Description
The United States Coast Guard Maintenance & Logistics Command, Atlantic intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quote (RFQ) for Dry Dock and Repair of the USCGC BRIDLE (WYTL-65607), a 65 foot harbor tug. The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page on or about February 2, 2007 at http://www.fbo.gov/. Please sign up for the Auto Notification service to receive e-mail from FEDBIZOPPS when an action is taken under this solicitation. The NAICS code is 336611. The acquisition will be solicited full and open. The homeport of the vessel is Southwest Harbor, ME. All work will be preformed at the contractor?s facility. The performance period will be (42) calendar days with a start date on or about May 14, 2007. The scope of the acquisition is for dry docking and repairs to the USCGC BRIDLE (WYTL-65607) including but not limited to the following Base and Option items: (1) Welding Repairs (2) Clean and Inspect Fuel Tanks (3) Clean and Disinfect Potable Water Tanks (4) Clean Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tanks (5) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shaft (6) Straighten Shaft (7) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller (8) Perform Minor Repairs and Reconditioning of Propeller (9) Clean and Inspect and Test Grid Coolers (10) Clean Exhaust Pipes (11) Preserve Transducer Hull Ring (12) Renew Valves (13) Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Rudder Assembly (14) Inspect and Test Boat Davit (15) Overhaul Boat Davit (16) Preserve Underwater Body (17) Renew Cathodic Protection System (18) Routine Drydocking (19) Provide Temporary Logistics (20) Renew Fire and Smoke Detection System (21) Preserve Main Hold (22) Preserve Superstructure (23) Preserve Engine Room Bilge Surfaces (24) Renew Engine Room Bilge Surfaces (25) Preserve and Renew Fan Room (26) Remove and Inspect Forward Berthing Overhead and Bulkhead Sheathing (27) Ultrasonic Thickness Measurements Trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures, shall accomplish all welding and brazing. The following Geographic Restrictions applies to the USCGC BRIDLE (WYTL-65607): to travel no further than 144 Nautical Miles from vessels home pier on navigable waterways and no further than 10 Nautical Miles off shore. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 500, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. Drawings are available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available free of charge to contractors upon request [ten days from solicitation issuance]. MLCA must have ten (10) days advance notice to complete a CD-ROM set of drawings. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc). Drawings are still available in hardcopy; however, a non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings.
