- The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential HUBZone businesses. Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan anticipates the solicitation and award of a contract for Transient Aircraft Maintenance Services. The Transient Aircraft Maintenance Services function provides the following services to support the Selfridge ANG Base Airfield, but are not limited to: Transient Alert Management Control, Arrival Services (pre-positioning safety & ground equipment, check for hot brakes, marsha l aircraft, install gear lock/ejection seat/canopy pins, install wheel chocks, ground aircraft, debrief aircraft commander, retrieve deployed chutes & repack, and connect support equipment), Maintenance Services (turn-around inspections, check & service en gine oil, check & service oxygen, visual inspection of airframe & components, check for fluid leaks, damage or safety of flight discrepancies, document forms, tow aircraft, secure overnight aircraft, check tires & struts, change wheel & tire assemblies, an d perform operational checks & minor maintenance), Processing Services, and Departure Services (brief aircraft commander, inspect parking area for FOD, open/secure travel pod doors, remove ground equipment, wires, chocks, pins & other equipment, assist fli ght crew in pre-flight & engine checklist, and perform end of runway inspections). Contractors must be fully qualified in all aspects of the requirements to be considered. Source selection procedures will be utilized to determine awardee. All interested H UBZone business concerns will provide this office, in writing, a notice stating their positive intention to submit a proposal as a prime contractor no later than 15 Feb 07. This notification, which shall not exceed five typewritten pages must include 1) a positive statement of intent to bid as a prime contractor ; 2) Identification of firm with appropriate HUBZone status. Status of HUBZone contractors will be verified via Central Contract Registration (CCR) Dynamic Small business search; 3) A listing of projects completed during the past three years, both for government and private industry. The type of project, dollar value, Contract number, location, and Point of Contact are to be included. Indicate if you were prime or subcontractor, and if subcontra ctor provide the name and point of contact for the prime contractor; and 4) A brief outline of resources, subcontractors, and key personnel that would be used to accomplish the contract. In the event adequate HUBZone contractors are not available for adeq uate competition for this project it will be advertised as a small business set aside. No facsimile responses will be accepted. Any costs incurred as a result of this announcement shall be borne by the offeror and will not be charged to the Government for reimbursement.
