- THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE In accordance with the FAR 15.201, Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) will host an additional Presolicitation Conference for the Broad Area Maritime Surveillance (BAMS) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) program on Thursday, 8 February 2007. The Presolicitation Conference will be held at the J.T. Daugherty Center located in Lexington Park, Maryland. For directions or more details on the J.T. Daugherty Center please use the following website address: www.jtdsmcc.com/contact.html The BAMS UAS Presolicitation Conference is open to all interested parties and attendance is not limited to only potential prime contractors. Registration for the Conference is not required. The purpose of the BAMS UAS Presolicitation Conference is to discuss Australian involvement in the BAMS UAS solicitation. In addition, the Government will provide a status update on the BAMS UAS program, brief industry on the draft CONOPS and highlight changes from the draft RFP and draft PBSS. A question and answer period will be held at the conclusion of the Presolicitation Conference briefings. All questions will be written on forms that will be provided. The Government will attempt to answer questions at the Presolicitation Conference in an open forum. No one-on-one meetings will be conducted. All discussions will be unclassified. The Presolicitation Conference will begin promptly at 1300 and conclude at approximately 1600. Attire is business casual. This announcement is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Navy will NOT assume liability for costs incurred by any attendees or for travel expenses, presentations, marketing efforts or data offered for examination; therefore, the cost of preparing information in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
