Description
The Kansas City Commodity Office (KCCO), Farm Service Agency, U.S. Department of Agriculture is a buyer of domestic food commodities for use in various foreign food assistance programs. All contractors interested in offering commodities shall comply with KCCO's qualification requirements as required by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 9.202(f). The qualification requirements are available at: http://www.fsa.usda.gov/FSA/webapp?area=home&subject=coop&topic=pas-vr The following commodities are classified under the NAICS code referenced above and are purchased by the International Procurement Division, KCCO. PEAS AND LENTILS, DRY (PL): Whole dry peas, split peas, and lentils shall meet the specifications as defined in the "Official United States Standards for Whole Dry Peas, Split Peas, and Lentils" in effect at the time of the contract. Whole dry peas shall grade U.S. No. 2 or better, except U.S. No. 3 or better because of cracked seed coats. Split peas shall grade U.S. No. 2 or better. Lentils shall grade U.S. No. 3 or better. Commodity shall be packaged in 50-kilogram woven polypropylene fabric bags.
