Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is RU74PS02RVD2. This combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a request for quotes (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-26. The requirement is for the acquisition of a Microsoft Windows-based control and data computer for compact range data collection and anaylysis purposes in support of in-house research and development efforts. The award will be m ade as a Firm Fixed Price effort with 12 months support. Inspection/Acceptance/FOB will be destination. Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Source or Only a Limited Number of Responsible Sources. Anticipated awar d will be to Microwave Instrumentation Technologies, LLC, 1125 Satellite Blvd, Suite 100, Suwanee, GA 93463. Any award resulting from this RFQ will be issued on Standard Form 1449 and will contain all clauses required by law, the Federal Acquisition Regula tion (FAR), and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)as appropriate for the dollar value of the award. Provision 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors, Commercial Items; Clause 52-212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions, Commercial Items; and Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders, Commercial Items are applicable to this acquisition. Offer is due not later than 12:00 noon, Central Time, 13 February 2007,in the contracting office, Building 5400, R oom B148, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898-5280. Electronic quotes/offers are acceptable.
