- The 42nd Contracting Squadron at Maxwell AFB, AL intends to award a sole source contract to J D Hunter Associates, 31122 Island Dr Ste 1, Rockwood MI 48173-9550 for the following item: Requirement: CLIN 0001 Base Year Period of Performance 1 Oct 2006 ? 30 Sep 2007 Service Centered Leadership 2-hour stage presentation for 300-member audience. Lecture presented twice annually at dates agreed upon by contractor and Air Force Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy (AFSNCOA). CLIN 0002 Base Year Period of Performance 1 Oct 2006 ? 30 Sep 2007 Other Direct Costs (ODCs) to include all travel, lodging, meal and incidental costs for presenter, calculated using the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR). Any costs exceeding those listed in the JTR must be approved by 42d Contracting Squadron in advance. CLIN 1001 Option Year One. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. If there are any other businesses that can provide the specified service, they must respond to this notice before 1500hrs (Central Time) on 08Jan07. If no responses are received by the above date, a sole source contract with College Options Foundation will be pursued. SOLE SOURCE JUSTIFICATION For SIEMENS MAINTENANCE CONTACT Purchase Request (Form 9) Number: F2XHC96289A300 1. This is a sole source request with JD Hunter Associates LLC for contractual services supporting effective delivery of the Air Force CMSgt Leadership Course (CLC). 2. Jim Hunter has provided a key lecture entitled ?Servant Centered Leadership? that supports CLC which constitutes 2 hours of CEPME approved course curriculum. For the past two years Mr. Hunter has provided his lecture Servant Centered Leadership to over 1400+ newly promoted CMSgts. Mr. Hunter delivers proprietary information recognizd by AF senior leadership to be a critical component of our leadership development. His presentation provides mirrored consistency with HQ USAF managed senior officer courses and ensures a developmental experience paramount to strategic leadership capability of our newly promoted CMSgts. 3. Jim Hunter authored the book entitled, The Servant and The World?s Most Powerful Leadership Principle. Consequently as the author of these books, he is in the best position to provide his proprietary informantion. Mr. Hunter has worked exclusively with the AFSNCOA to tailor his program to the developmental needs of new CMSgts for the past two years. He is a proven performer with an outstanding track record of 98 percent relevancy rating in pervious six classes. The goal of the CLC is to provide training consistency to CMSgts worldwide. This course is only taught at one place?the AFSNCOA. Mr. Hunter is uniquely qualified to present this lecture and has done so for the most Senior Leadership of our USAF. Creating mirrored consistency between our senior officers, past CMSgts, and newly promoted CMSgts is paramount to the development of our strategic leaders. //Signed// PAMELA A.
