- MARKET SURVEY CAPABILITY ASSESSMENT FOR; Radio Frequency Interference and Spectrum Monitoring System (RFISMS) The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for engineering support to manage the RFISMS. The Spectrum Engineering Services organization requires engineering support to manage the radio spectrum used by the National Airspace System and equipment providing Communications, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) radio services products and services to aviation. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. At this time the nature of the competition has not been determined. To facilitate proposal preparation, the FAA is making available a copy of the Draft copy of the statement of work, (SOW). The release of this draft SOW is for planning purposes only. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Therefore, any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor expense. This market survey is also being conducted in order to determine whether adequate competition exists for the subject requirement. In order to make this determination the FAA requires the following from interested vendors: Federal Aviation Administration 1. What is your company's knowledge and experience of FAA Spectrum Engineering Standards and Measurements? 2. What is your company's knowledge and experience in Detecting, Monitoring and Locating Radio Frequency Interference (RFI)? 3. What is your company's knowledge and experience in FAA RF systems, sub-system and component design and implementation? 4. What is your company's knowledge and experience in telecommunications software design and IT equipment integration for RFI applications? What size is your business? Does your company provide these services under a GSA Service Contract? Attached is a draft of the statement of work. Respondents are encouraged to review the statement of work and provide comments by February 8, 2007.
