Description
This is a pre-solicitation synopsis. The Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC), F-15 Systems Group intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to Rockwell-Collins, Inc. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The proposed contract will include: 1.) Continuation of integration support to the Boeing Co. of St Louis, MO to integrate Mil-STD-1553 communications between the ARC-210 radio, model RT-1924, and the F-15 aircraft, models C/D/E. 2.) Fabricate, deliver, and potentially install up to 640 retrofit kits to convert existing RT-1850 radios into the RT-1924 radios. 3.) Fabricate and deliver a limited number (i.e., 10-25) of RT-1924 radios to be used to initiate the retrofit. 4.) Provide up to 2 years of radio repair support for the RT-1850 and converted RT-1924 radios purchased for the F-15 fleet. The government intends to award the effort pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 since Rockwell Collins is the only known source at this time that is capable of providing and supporting this product. The proposed contract action, FA8634-07-D-2699, has a period of performance of 36 months. Interested offerors must submit, within 15 days from the publication date of this notice, their capability package describing the company?s technical expertise and experience, personnel and facilities, and motivation for participating in this program.
