- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) webpage located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Government intends to award via full and open competition under FAR part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division intends to purchase four ruggedized computers with the following requirements: Smaller than 5U form factor with 2U being optimal; MilStd 901D (Shock) as it pertains to a shipboard environment while the system is operating, the platform is a high speed Italian racing boat capable of moving at over 50 knots, MilStd 810F (Vibe) as it pertains to a shipboard environment while the system is operating, MilStd 461E (EMI) as it pertains to a shipboard environment while the system is operating, Must be able to withstand at least a temperature range between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius, Ruggedized semi-sealed workstation enclosure, (There will be no direct contact from water but sea spray and humidity is an issue). The computer will be located inside an enclosure, Two core processor comparable or better than the AMD Opteron (Italy), 4gb of system memory, High-end Geforce video card with at least 256 MB of dedicated video memory, 24VDC a nd an estimate of total current draw and a voltage range, Front I/O or the computer would have a docking station so that the computer could be pulled in and out while the cables stay connected to the docking station. The docking station must be sealed to prevent damage from water as well., Ruggedized military connectors for all I/O, CD/DVD-RW drive, One RS-232 serial port, At least one USB 2.0 port, Two Gigabit ethernet ports, PS/2 ports or additional USB ports for a mouse and keyboard, SAS or SATA solid state hard drive, Available PCI card slots, Must be able to meet a delivery date of the first week of April 2007 for the first unit. The contract shall be firm fixed. FOB Destination shall apply. The quotation number is N00178-07-Q-1105.
