Description
General Description of Requirement: USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service is seeking qualified persons and firms to perform Real Estate Appraisal services for eight(8) to fifteen(15) permanent and term conservation easements during the period February through May, 2007. Properties to be appraised are typically rural tracts managed primarily for timber, farming and hunting. The approach to valuation will consider the values of all contiguous property in common ownership both encumbered and unencumbered by the taking of the easement. Comparables will include sales of properties encumbered by similar easements. Qualifications: Appraiser must be licensed by as a general real property appraiser by the state of South Carolina. Appraiser must have demonstrated competency applying USPAP in conducting appraisals of agricultural properties both encumbered and unencumbered by conservation easements. Training and Education: Appraiser must have completed the Yellow Book course, and have received training in appraisals for eminent domain or conservation easements.
