- The purpose of this Screening Information Request (SIR) is to seek competent and qualified contractors for the modernization of the Salem ATCT. The Screening Information Request (SIR) is 100% set-aside for Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (NAICS 238990). Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SEDB) competing on this acquisition shall be in good standing with the Small Business Administration. Certification documents are required for award consideration. Description of Work: This project includes but is not limited to: ??? ATCT Cab Rooftop HVAC Replacement ??? Cab Air Distribution System Cleaning ??? Installation of New Ceiling Fan ??? 2nd and 3rd Floor Shaft HVAC Unit Replacement ??? 4th Floor Restroom HVAC Replacement ??? 4th Floor Equipment Room HVAC Replacement ??? Base Building HVAC Replacement ??? Base Building Restroom Exhaust Replacement ??? Electrical Refurbishment Estimated Size: $250,000.00 - $650,000.00 Contract duration for completion of all work shall be 180 calendar days. Requests for the solicitation package must be submitted in writing to Angela Mihalek, FAA, ANM-53, 1601 Lind Ave., SW, Renton, WA 98057; by fax at: (425) 227-1055; or email at Angela.Mihalek@faa.gov Site visits will be held on February 23rd, 10am, and March 6th, 10am, at the Salem ATCT. It is strongly encouraged that all bidders attend one of the scheduled site visits. Solicitation packages will be available on or about February 16th, 2007. This percentage may be reduced by a supplemental agreement to this contract if, during performing the work, the Contractor requests a reduction and the Contracting Officer determines that the reduction would be to the advantage of the Government. Prospective offerors are hereby notified that employees of NetStar-1, a private contractor to the Government, may be used in evaluating offers received under this SIR.
