Description
This requirement is 100% set-aside for 8(a) certified Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Business (SEDB) concerns. An eligible SEDB concern is a small business concern expressly certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) for participation in the SBA's 8(a) program and which meets such criteria at the time of submission of the offer. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Southern Region has a requirement to provide janitorial services at the Combined Center Radar Approach Control / International Flight Service (CERAP/IFO), San Juan, Puerto Rico. The period of performance is to commence April 1, 2007 for an initial period of six (6) months. There will be four (4) one-year option periods with an optional six-month extension. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment (other than Government furnished equipment), transportation and supervision to provide janitorial services 7 days a week. Company must have at least three (3) years experience in janitorial services to include other government agencies or large size companies and have an active (staffed and constantly engaged in day-to-day) business address and phone number for a minimum of one (1) year and be within a one hundred (100)-mile radius of San Juan, Puerto Rico. This office must be maintained during the entire life of the contract. Evaluation of proposals to this SIR will rely heavily of Past Performance. The Government is seeking offers that provide the best combination of quality and price in order to select the greatest value of "Best Buy" offers. Therefore, award may be made to other than the lowest offer. The contractor and all employees of this contract will be subject to a Background Investigation by the FAA Security Division.
