- Sole Source. The United States Army Contracting Agency Southern Region, Yuma Directorate, Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Power Product Services, 1482 W. Scott Ave . 102, Gilbert, AZ 85233. The NAICS code is 335311 with a small business size of 750 employees. This contract will be for the purchase of one (1) part number 100A21PCP400XLT which is equipped as follows: *battery (2) GNB model 100A21, 1000 ampere hr. per string at the 8 hr. rate, *Eltek (PCP) TWPCE-48S -48Vdc power plant equipped with (8) 50 amp rectifiers, *Eltek (PCP) SSD3.IP system status and control panel, *Eltek (PCP) Distribution (22) 50 amp, (2) 5 amp, circuit breakers and install kits *Ex eltech 5 kva inverter shelf and 5 plug in 1 kva modules, *material cable, lugs, hardware, etc., and *Installation of equipment to be used and or replace other like systems already in use at YPG. Power Product Services is the only authorized dealer fo r GNB batteries in Arizona and the housing created for these systems already exists at YPG. The batteries being purchased under this order need to be exactly the same model to ensure compatibility with existing RDTS equipment. Award of this requirement w ill be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQ UEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, based upon responses received to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provid e these services, then you must respond by 11th of Feb by 5:00 PM MST to me in writing with schematics and technical documentation explaining your ability to produce competitive equipment retaining the same size form fit and function of the above material and installation. Included is numbered note 22 with the exception that the time period for the receipt of proposals for consideration is 10 days instead of 45 days.
