- Description
- The US Geological Survey intends to award a noncompetitive architect and engineer (A and E) contract to the National Center for Airborne Laser Mapping, University of Florida, Gainesville, FL for a high-resolution research-grade LIDAR survey to identify and map geologic hazards along a one-kilometer-long wide swath of a 72-kilometer portion of the Hayward fault in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. The data will be placed in the public domain. Noncompetitive award is being made because this source has a contract with the National Science Center for similar services in the area and will already be mobilized and performing in the area. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, but interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement to the Contracting Officer by e-mail (rdonez@usgs.gov) no later than the response date shown in the announcement.
