Description

NSN: 5410-01-490-9663, DCS Connector Assy (Green), Part No. 17-2-0979-1, and NSN: 5410-01-491-2858, DCS Connector Assy (Tan), Part No. 17-2-0979-2. This solicitation is restricted to Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics, Inc., 407 East Street, New Haven , CT 06511-5015. There is no competitive TDP. The guaranteed minimum requirements are 30 Green and 20 Tan for the first year of a 3-year firm fixed-price IDIQ contract. FOB is destination. Estimated issue date is 16 Feb 2007. This solicitation and any am endments will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within thirty (30) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be conside red by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, inte rested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 30 days of this notice.
