Description

This announcement serves as a notice of the intent to award a service contract for SHEF Decoder/Encoder module to add to the DataWise package of DOMSAT software, to an approved sole source contractor in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2)(iii). THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. The items to be purchased as a sole source are considered highly specialized follow-on work including materials and labor to upgrade the current SHEF system encoder/decoder package. The supplies and services within this contracting action will be to add a SHEF Decoder/Encoder module to the DataWise package. Reservoir Control Section is currently using the DataWise DOMSAT software to capture date from over 400 remote sensing stations across the Fort Worth District. This is considered a mission critical sy stem required to support the operation of the Districts 25 flood control reservoirs. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 541511, business size standard is $23,000,000. The sole source contractor is DEC Data Systems (13355 Grass Valley Avenue, Suite C, Grass Valley, CA 93311). The government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to DEC Data Systems for the period of 15 March to 31 October 2007. However, any contra ctors who believe that they have the capability to meet the listed qualifications may submit, for consideration by the government, a statement of capability. Comments are due by 10 A.M. (MST) on 12 February 2007. If no comments are received by the closing date, a purchase order will be issued to the above named sole source.
