- Description
- This construction project is to modify features of the Upper St. Johns Project to preserve and enhance floodplain and aquatic habitats, provide and/or protect conveyance of water discharged downstream through Structures S-96B and S-96C, decrease prob ability of significant freshwater discharges to the Indian River Lagoon, and improve water quality. Project includes levee construction, grassing of new levees, channel construction, plugging two existing canals, degrading spoil mounds and disposing of ma terial in existing canals, removal of two culverts and backfilling, and construction of a 600 ft. steel sheet pile weir with concrete cap and culverts. This solicitation will be issued on or about 20 Feb 2007 and open on or about 22 Mar 2007. This solici tation will be distributed using the FedTeDS system. The magnitude of construct ion is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. This acquisition is Unrestricted and all responsible bidders are encouraged to participate. There will be a price preference for certified HUBZone small business concerns that comply with the requirement s in the solicitation as stipulated in FAR 19.1307.
