- Description
- The Portland District Corps of Engineers intends to award a contract for the replacement of runners and refurbishment and replacement of other associated equipment of the three (3) turbines at Lookout Point Dam located in Lowell, Oregon. These turbin es are Francis type manufactured by Pelton and rated at 52,500 HP. The Contractor shall design, manufacture, and model test a scale model replacement runner and appurtenances for a Francis type turbine. After the model witness test(s) have been executed an d documented to the satisfaction of the Government, the Government will provide the Contractor with formal written notice to proceed with the fabrication, deliver, and appurtenances for three generating units. The Government has determined there is great opportunity for a moderate percentage of sub-c ontracting opportunities available with the size standard of 1000 employees or less.
