THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT IS TO CLARIFY THE REQUIREMENT AND MAKE CORRECTIONS: 1) THE SECOND SHIPMENT DATE IS APRIL 11, 2007, NOT APRIL 1, 2007. 2) THE SUGAR SHALL BE FOOD GRADE WHITE GRANULATED SUGAR, THEREFORE IMPERIAL SUGAR IS NOT SPECIFICALLY REQUIRED. 3) PALLETS: PALLETS MAY BE PACKAGED AS 40 OR 50 BAGS PER PALLET, BUT NOT TO EXCEED 50 BAGS PER PALLET. 4) THE TOTAL NUMBER OF SHIPMENTS WILL BE NINE. THE RESPONSE DATE REMAINS UNCHANGED. ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS REMAIN THE SAME. ************************** The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), Edinburg, Texas, has a requirement for white Imperial granulated sugar for the period beginning March 21, 2007 through September 30, 2007. A fixed-price purchase order will result. F.O.B. destination. NAICS 311311. QUOTATIONS ARE DUE FEBRUARY 14, 2005 by 10:00 a.m. local time. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12. This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses which are in effect through the current Federal Acquisition Circular. SPECIFICATIONS: White Imperial granulated sugar: Quantity: 500 fifty pound bags, 40 bags per pallet, to be delivered every three weeks to be received beginning on or before March 21, 2007 through September 30, 2007. Dock available; USDA will unload. Second shipment shall be delivered on or before April 1, 2007, and will continue for a total of nine deliveries. Complete schedule will be provided to the contractor awarded the purchase order. Price shall include shipping to USDA, Moore Air Base, 22675 North Moorefield Road, Edinburg, TX 78541.
