Description
The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, AL is seeking potential contractors or sources for an impending procurement related to the instruction of a course titled Seismic Design for Buildings. Interested sources must be able to prov ide all services, personnel, material, audio visual aids, training aids, travel and lodging necessary to administer and present a course of instruction for sessions on a course for Seismic Design for Buildings. This is not a formal solicitation. Contract ors who can provide the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center with the services referenced below are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response that includes, at a minimum the proposed credentials and qualifications, any applicable pricing dat a and any additional information indicating a bona fide ability to meet this specific requirement. Previous source of incumbent for the course was J.R. Harris & Company, Denver, CO. The identified instructor shall have 100 hours of teaching experience during the past five years in courses designed to teach seismic analysis and design for buildings. The identified instructor shall have a minimum of a Master's Degree in structural engi neering or a related field, and have a professional engineering license. The identified instructor shall have a minimum of 10 years demonstrated success in the structural engineering field including the design of a minimum of 10 projects (buildings) where seismic design was required. Documentation of teaching experience shall include: (1) when and where; (2) teaching audience; (3) title and brief description of the course taught; (4) course length. Instructor shall provide a copy of their diploma. The following information should be included with the response to this Sources Sought announcement: Duns Number, Tax Identification Number and Cage Code. All interested sources must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before they c an be considered as potential sources for the course titled Seismic Design for Buildings. For this Sources Sought announcement it is not necessary to submit any additional company information, resumes, sales materials or brochures. S ubmittals are due no lated than 20 February 2007. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. If no sources express an interest by 20 February 2007 or if the sources that express an interest are determined by the Government to be unable to meet the requirements of this announcement, then a sole source award will be made within 14 days.
