Description
This requirement is for custodial services at the following buildings in Austin, TX: J.J. Pickle Federal Building 300 E. 8th Street Austin, Texas TX0227AU Homer Thornberry Judicial Building 903 San Jacinto Austin, Texas TX0250AU U. S. Courthouse 200 W. 8th Street Austin, Texas TX0012ZZ --------------------------- The full solicitation for this requirement will be posted on FEDBIZOPPS on/before: 09 Feb 2007. --------------------------- SUPPLIES OR SERVICES AND PRICES 1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES. The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, and equipment (except as otherwise provided), and shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure effective performance of all services described herein. The contractor will be required to provide custodial and related services in accordance with the requirements of this solicitation, at the locations indicated in paragraph 2: 2. BID/OFFER FOR BASIC SERVICES. A. Quote a per month price for providing the custodial and related services. Do not include prices for Exterior Cleaning and Lawn and Grounds Maintenance or individual line items listed in paragraph 3A below. Do not include any escalation for labor on option years. B. Quote a per month price for providing Exterior Cleaning and Lawn and Grounds Maintenance. Do not include individual line items listed in paragraph 3A below. Do not include any escalation for labor on option years. 3. BID/OFFER FOR OTHER SERVICES. Quote a line item price for each task. The following performance based tasks are to be provided by the contractor upon receipt of a written request by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). NOTE: The Government reserves the right to procure the following line items from other sources. The COR will give the contractor 10 working days advance notice, except when emergency conditions exist. Do not include any escalation for labor on option years. A. The following tasks will be priced per each: i. Carpet cleaning ii. Application of Soil Retardant to carpeting iii. Application of Anti-Static Treatment to carpeting iv. Wash both sides of exterior windows PER WINDOW = $ NOTE TO BIDDERS/OFFERORS: (1) DO NOT include any allowance for any contingency to cover increased costs for which adjustments are provided under Section I, FAR 52.222-43. (2) You must quote a price for the initial 12-month period as well as for the option periods in order to be considered for award. 4. ADDITIONAL CUSTODIAL SERVICES: At the request of the Contracting Officer?s Representative, the contractor shall furnish custodial services (labor, equipment, supplies, and materials) in addition to those required herein. The additional services shall be requested 24 hours in advance, except for emergencies. Payment for such additional services shall be on a man-hour basis calculated as follows: When wage determination by Department of Labor is made a part of contract: Applicable minimum hourly wage, inclusive of hourly health and welfare benefits, for the class of service employee required as established by applicable Department of Labor wage determination x 150%. When no wage determination by the Department of Labor is made a part of contract: Federal minimum wage established by Section 6(a)(1) of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, as amended (29 U.S.C.A. Sec. 206(a)(1) x 150%. Payment for portions of an hour shall be prorated. Orders for additional service may be placed orally by an authorized GSA representative. The GSA representative will describe the service to be provided and will establish, excluding emergencies (using Government standards), the maximum number of man-hours for which the contractor will be compensated. Individual orders shall not exceed $2,500. This additional services provision is intended for use to satisfy the Government's short-term need for service. Should a continuing need for additional service arise, a contract modification will be negotiated.
