The U.S. Coast Guard has a requirement for a Boating Safety Watercraft Simulator; Classification code 69, Training Aids and Devices; NAICS Code, 713120 Amusement Arcades. The purpose of this notice is to determine if there are existing products that meet the below specifications or locate sources to custom build this equipment in accordance with the below specifications. Boating Safety Watercraft Simulator - Minimum Specifications 1. Simulator with measurements not to exceed 4ft wide x 7ft deep x 6.5 ft. high. 2. Basic concept is a platform that resembles a center console boat that coordinates pitch (to turn about a vertical axis so that the forward end rises or falls in relation to the after end) and roll (turn by angular motion about the longitudinal axis, to move from side to side) movement with the position of the throttle and steering wheel. A "Rider" will be able to view the video and steer the "Boat" in the video using the platform controls. 3. Realistic motion shall be provided by pneumatic pumps charged by a remote portable compressor capable of producing significant psi to facilitate real life motion. A suitable alternative to facilitate the same shall be discussed prior to approval. 4. A 42" LCD monitor will be located in the front of the center console and interfaced to provide realistic graphic representation. 5. Sound will be provided by a Bose sound system or equivalent. 6. Coast Guard (Office of Boating Safety - Miami) will supply engine performance gauges with workable back light feature to provide realism, to be mounted on center console by vendor. 7. A Cargo Trailer that will support this simulator will be provided to vendor upon completion of project for mounting. 8. Simulator platform will be built so as to roll out on a gravity wheel conveyor provided by vendor and provided with lock down pins, both for transport mode and actual ride mode. 9. A correspondence schedule shall update the Coast Guard on progress and any change from agreed upon design. 10. Completion date is no later than 01 June 2007.
