Description

Contractor shall provide elevator upgrade services to totally modernize the North Wing passenger elevators (P5 & P6) in Building 1 of the VA Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, PA in accordance with the project plans and specifications. Work includes but is not limited to replacement of hoist machines, controllers, car doors, lobby doors, car interiors, lantern, call buttons and upgrade elevator machine room with new air conditioning system, lighting etc. The anticipated completion time of this project is 365 calendar days after the notice to proceed. Gov't estimate cost range $500,000-1,000,000. The solicitation is 100% Set-aside for Small Business Concerns capable of performing the required work. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238990. Bid documents will be available o/a 3/13/07. Interested bidders must submit WRITTEN REQUESTS ONLY to the Contracting Officer, VA Medical Center, 1111 East End Blvd., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711. Fax #570-821-7277. Telephone requests will not be accepted. A walk-thru will be conducted on 3/28 @ 10am from Rm C6-1, Main Bldg. All respondents must be registered in Central Contractor Registration database at www.ccr.gov. Bid documents will be issued on a first come first serve basis until supply is exhausted. Bid opening will be held on 4/12/07 @ 2:30pm. Award is subject to availability of funds.
