- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity, 820 Chandler Street, Fort Detrick, Maryland, intends to award a sole source contract to the law firm of Baker and Botts, LLP. The contract is for legal services related to patent prosecution of RIID 99- 29 Botulinum, (all serotypes), including U.S. and foreign patent applications, arising from research conducted at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, (USAMRIID). Due to the long-term, ongoing patent prosecution of RIID 99-29 B otulinum being provided by Baker and Botts, LLP, it is believed that award of a follow-on contract is in the governments best interest.
