Description
This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/synopcom.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. The Government requires 57MM Target Practice, MK 296 Mod 0 cartridges in accordance with Automated Data List 53711-5355837A. The Government has funding available for this procurement in the amount of $4,818,985.00, and will thus procure as many of the subject cartridges as the amount of funding permits. This requirement will be negotiated on a sole source basis with BAE Systems Land & Armaments Division L.P., Minneapolis, Minnesota in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, ?Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements?. A safety and security survey will be required prior to contract award in order to comply with the requirements of DFARS 252.223-7002, 252.223-7003, & 252.223-7007. The Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database, located at www.ccr.gov, as well as the Joint Certification Program, located at www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp. The 57MM Target Practice, MK 296 Mod 0 cartridges are to be delivered FOB Destination. Inspection and acceptance of the cartridges will be at destination as well. The solicitation will be available on or about 21 February 2007 at the three websites cited above. Interested parties can download the solicitation from the three websites cited above, for no hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed.
