- Modification 01- This modification changes required delivery date to May 30, 2007. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation, items are being procured in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. The office of NOAA Marine engineering Division located in Seattle, WA intends to acquire the following: 1.) qty of 4 each 18 inch diameter bisected fans for boiler exhaust system and 2.) qty of 4 each spare motors with attached fan blades. The Boiler Exhaust System MUST meet the following specifications: 1.) fan size must be 18 inch diameter; 2.) Height must be 60 inches with jet shroud; 3.) Jet shroud must be breakaway type to facilitate motor replacement; 4.) Motor must be 2 HP Frame size 184T Class H- High Temperature winding insulation TEFC 1770 rpm; 5.) Fan must have nine blade, stainless steel, 32 degree pitch; 6.) Base must have a standard size round bolting flange at the bottom. The Boiler Exhaust System MUST meet the following requirements: a.) Bisected flow type updraft fan type; b.) Motor mounted with shaft pointed up (fan blade on top); c.) Preservation suitable for salt water spray environment; d.) Motor chamber covers with louvers; e.) Insulated motor chamber; f.) Extended grease leads for motors; g.) Housing, motor and all components suitable for 950 degree exhaust temperature; h.) Heat/fume slinger; and i.) shaft seal. A firm fixed price order will be issued with required delivery date of no later than May 30,2007, fob destination to Seattle, WA. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Only firms that can provide the exact equipment specification and requirements described herein will be considered. Offerors should furnish adequate information with their offers. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days of its publication.
