- For Public Service Recognition Week 2007 & Joint Services Open House 2007 1. Contracting the support to be provided by the Commander, Military District of Washington (MDW) and the Joint Forces Headquarters, National Capital Region (JFHQ-NCR) in support of the annual Public Service Recognition Week (PSRW) and the Joint Services Open House (JSOH). MDW and JFHQ-NCR will provide Operational, Logistical, and Security support for these events. A hotel that is located centrally to both PSRW and JSOH events, as well as major roadways (I-495, I-295) will be ideal for ease of access for a ll personnel and organizers. 2. Period of Performance: Start Date: 7 May 2007 End Date: 21 May 2007 3. Places of Performance: These two events will be held on the National Mall and Andrews Air Force Base, respectively. 4. Description of Work: For the purposes of lodging incoming personnel, MDW/JFHQ-NCR will require hotel lodging for the duration of these two events. All incoming personnel will check in on 7 May 2007 and check out on 21 May 2007. Specifically, the cont racted hotel will: a. Provide a separate, event specific reception desk in the lobby on 7 May 2007 and 15 May 2007 to accommodate incoming personnel. b. Provide use of one 140 person conference room (theatre-style setup) on 7 May 2007 (PSRW) and 15 May 2007 (JSOH) for purpose of providing a private location for operational briefing to incoming personnel. c. Provide a total of 70 double occupancy rooms for the purpose of lodging incoming personnel. d. Provide parking accommodations for 10 oversize vans (15 PAX)or reserved parking spaces to accommodate vehicles of incoming personnel. e. Provide one (1) additional double occupancy room for the purpose of providing Command and Control (C2) capability to MDW/JFHQ-NCR. f. Provide on-site breakfast for 140 personnel from 0500-0700. g.
