Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, Grand Canyon Monitoring & Research Center, Flagstaff, AZ, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the vendor: Biomark Inc, 7615 W. Riverside Dr., Boise, ID 83714. The proposed contract is to purchase the following Passive Integrated Transponders (Pit Tags): (Qty) 30,000 - PIT Tags (134.2KHZ 12:45MM Super Tag (Qty) 3 - MK7 Implanter - Blue Implanter w/1.25 Needle (3 Gross) Biomark, Inc. is the sole manufacturer of these particular tag types. Furthermore, this manufacturer has established Biomark, Inc. as the sole sales distributor of this product. These unique implantable glass tags (11.5mm) provide specific identification data for determining estimates of population size, age/growth discreet movement patterns, and condition factors of the endangered fish species of the Humpback Chub. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Information will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Determination to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government, no additional sysnopsis will be published.
