Description

The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) has a requirement for shuttle bus service linking the U.S. Capitol Building and the various House and Senate Office Buildings. The contractor shall furnish ADA compliant passenger buses which shall accommodate 19 or more seated passengers, that includes two (2) wheelchair positions and the driver, with factory installed air conditioning and heat. The service will operate from two starting points: (1) the Ford House Office Building (FHOB) proceeding to the Hart Senate Office Building (HSOB); and (2) the HSOB proceeding to the FHOB. Each route will start at 6:45 a.m. The last trip from the HSOB to the FHOB will leave at 6:15 p.m.; the last trip from the FHOB to the HSOB will leave at 6:15 p.m. Vehicles shall be less than five (5) years old with no more than 40,000 miles at time of award and at the time each option is exercised. The period of performance will be a base year with four (4) 1-year options. The solicitation will be issued on or about February 21, 2007. The due date for receipt of proposals will be on or about April 4, 2007. The solicitation will be available electronically at http://www.aoc.gov/business/procure-opps.cfm on the date of issuance. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO DOWNLOAD THE ELECTRONIC VERSION AS THIS WILL EXPEDITE RECEIPT OF THE SOLICITATION. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO MONITOR THIS SITE FOR ALL CHANGES!!
