Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) requires an offeror to provide batteries for the MK30 Mod 2 Antisubmarine Warfare (ASW) Training Target System which is designed to provide cost-effective ASW training for Navy platforms (surface ships, submarines and aircraft). The MK30 Mod 2 simulates the acoustic and magnetic signatures and dynamics of submarines. The primary power for the MK30 Mod 2 Target Undersea Vehicle is a silver zinc battery consisting of a series connection of 168 cells. The battery provides electrical power for the target equipment and propulsion motor. NUWCDIVNPT requires approximately 3,000 Silver Zinc Battery Cells and 3,300 Electrolyte Fill Kits conforming to NAVSEA Drawing 7092537 Revision A and NAVSEA Drawing 7092535. Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price. Evaluation Criteria: Best Value (Technical Approach, Past Performance and Price). This requirement is a Small Business Set-Aside. The Solicitation will also contain information relating to a Pre-proposal Conference.
