- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, FM465970167000, is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-02. The NAICS code is 423450. The following commercial items are requested in this solicitation: Line Item 0001: Request Quantity (2) DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING SYSTEMS; System must be suitable for producing radiographic images of patient skeletal and soft-tissue anatomy in recumbent, seated and erect positions. It is to be utilized to perform orthopedic diagnostics, trauma, general, and thoracic diagnostic studies. Table - Able to support a patient weighing up to 450 lbs - Composed of radiolucent material - Floating top that can be moved either transversely or longitudinally - Entire table assembly that can be raised up to 35 inches or as low as 12 inches from the floor - Electromagnetic locks to hold the table in place once positioned - Accessible from all four sides - A "Bucky Tray" for producing photo-timed exposures centered under the table A focused grid for 45 inch Source to Image Distance (SID) exposures A ratio of 12:1 with 40 lines per cm Minimum three field ion chambers Able to accommodate film cassette sizes from 8 x 10 inches to 14 x 17 inches Can be moved longitudinally within the table - Table side controls to regulate height, release/lock the table top - Emergency power disconnect switch Tube Assembly Support - Ceiling mounted, adjustable in three spatial axes, with tube assembly and collimator for vertical, horizontal, and lateral acquisitions - Travel range: 140 inches or more longitudinally, 127 or more inches transversely, 60 inches vertically - Manually adjustable tube assembly and support - Can be swiveled manually around the vertical axis of the tube support - Pivot between +154 degrees and -182 degrees around the vertical axis of the tube assembly support Lock-in positions at 0 degrees and ?90 degrees, ?120 degrees around the horizontal axis, lock-in positions at 0 degrees and ?90 degrees Collimator - Full field localizer for optical display of collimated exposure field - Collimated field size can be manually adjusted - Collimator can be rotated minimum ?50 degree around the beam center - Filtration system for reduction of radiation during soft tissue exposures - Controls and displays at the tube assembly support: longitudinal, transverse, vertical, angulation, detent X-Ray Tube Assembly - Dual focus rotating anode - High heat storage capacity - High load capacity - Integrated thermal monitoring device - Protective housing and X-ray tube for 150 kV nominal voltage - Nominal power: 40 kW; small focus 80 kW; large focus Anode speed =8,000 revolutions/min Anode angle 12 degree Overall filtration 2.5 mm AL Control Console - Touch-screen design - Able to select manual or automatic exposure technique - Exposure dose display for photo timed exposures - Exposures can be selected based on body region Generator Pre-transformer - Required for voltages of 440 V and 480 V Vertical Bucky Stand - Floor/wall mounted grid acquisition system - Height adjustable between 14 inches and 75 inches cassette center above floor - Left or right hand operation - Able to accommodate cassette sizes ranging between 8 x 10 inches and 14 x 17 inches - Removable grid for pediatric imaging - Overhead handle to facilitate lateral thoracic position of patient - Transparent lead (Pb) grid 13:1 ratio with 70 lines/cm at 60 inch SID High Frequency X-ray Generator - Multi-processor system capable of supporting all electrical requirements of x-ray system Deinstallation/Room Preparation - Vendor will be responsible for removal of existing unit and all associated equipment or provide credit for turn in of existing equipment - Vendor will perform any necessary pre-installation room preparation Training - Include Biomedical Equipment Repair Technician training - In-service training for radiologic technologists Statement of Work - From date of award vendor will have 90 days to install both units - Final payment is contingent upon Health Physicist acceptance testing To include 2 sets of Operator and Service Manuals To include installation/set up, training To include delivery/transportation costs Contractor is required to remove any Legacy equipment supports no longer necessary for installation of new equipment. Any electrical modification or additional requirement will require Civil Engingeering approval and sufficient lead time to accomplish. Installation contractor will have to repair any damage to walls, flooring, etc which may occur during install. Area will have been completely renovated prior to install.
