- Description
- Vendor to provide drug knowledge resources and pharmacist medication order review and entry services as stated for three VA Medical Centers, Lebanon, PA; Coatesville, PA; and Wilmington, DE. Hours of service for each VA are stated in the statement of work and vendor must be flexible to accommodate necessary hours. Vendor will review authorized provider medication orders during the time periods noted in the statement of work that are scanned, sent, transmitted to or accessed by the vendor. Vendor will check for orders in Queue at least every 30 minutes. Vendor Pharmacists will review/edit, via remote access (VA VPN), orders on VAMC medication entry system. After review, vendor pharmacists will complete, via remote access orders into our medical center medication order entry system. The vendor must comply with any and all current or future VA Information Security requirements. The vendor will have access to the Pharmacy VISTA package at each facility. The vendor will: Provide daily shift sign-off (faxed, e-mail, web based) to include the number of orders reviewed and a summary of outstanding issues for follow-up by the VAMC's Pharmacy staff. Provide monthly report of activities (i.e. number of orders number of questions, etc. to each VA. Provide quarterly reports on quality improvement indicators including: A . Potential prescribing errors and other medication errors. B. Suspected adverse drug reactions or events. Drug information/educational needs for after hours staff. D. Provide single contact telephone number for VA provider and nursing staff contact during contracted periods. Vendor will comply with all applicable policies, rules, and regulations of the VA of which they have been duly notified and shall not knowingly engage in any activity detrimental to the interest of the VA's. Vendor shall comply with all applicable standards of the JCAHO including maintenance of competency training for all staff providing services the VAs. This is 100% set-aside for small business with a NAICS code of 621399. The solicitation will be released on or about February 28, 2007
