- The approximate issue date for solicitation is 22 Feb 2007 and response date is 22 Mar 2007. The anticipated award date of this contract will be 1 May 2007. The acquisition is to purchase Line Item 0001, 4 EA Circuit Card Assembly, P/N 5033710, NSN: 5998-01-263-4507 FW and Line Item 0002, 2 EA Circuit Card Assembly, P/N 5095278-3, NSN: 5998-01-368-0110 FW, both applicable to the B-2 Bomber. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation through FedBizOpps at http://www.fbo.gov/. Faxed Solicitation requests can be submitted to 848th CBSG/PKA ATTN: Liz Preston, Tinker AFB OK 73145-3015, FAX NUMBER: (405) 739-2817. E-mail elizabeth.preston@tinker.af.mil. No telephone requests. Only written, faxed, or electronic requests received directly from the requester are acceptable. The Govt. physically does not have in its possession sufficient, accurate, or legible data to purchase this part from other than the original equipment manufacturer, Raytheon Corp. (MFC 82577) In addition, Line Item 0002 is a nuclear hardness critical part and the nuclear hardness requirements are not available for unclassified distribution at this time. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the Raytheon Corp. (MDC 82577). AUTHORITY: 10 USC 2304(C)(1), JUSTIFICATION: SUPPLIES (OR SERVICES) REQUIRED ARE AVAILABLE FROM ONLY ONE OR A LIMITED NUMBER OF RESPONSIBLE SOURCE(S) AND NO OTHER TYPE OF SUPPLIES OR SERVICES WILL SATISFY AGENCY REQUIREMENTS. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government?s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested parties are invited to call Ombudsman at (405) 736-3273.
