- The USDA, Forest Service, Shawnee National Forest, Hidden Springs Ranger District, Johnson County Illinois has a requirement for a general contractor to provide all labor, services, material and equipment necessary to construct a new 9500 SF Office Building, a 1900 SF heated Warehouse addition and a 3,290 SF Equipment shed; including installation of new utilities, construction of 1330 ft access road and 4 new parking areas. Work also includes the demolition of 3 existing buildings and various utilities. The new buildings and site will be constructed to meet the United States Green Building Council's LEED certification level of Silver. Project location: Project is located just south of the intersection of College Street and Hwy 45 as you come into the City of Vienna, Illinois. The new Site is located on the existing site of the Hidden Springs Ranger District the location of which is signed on Hwy 45. All work is to be accomplished in accordance with the project plans and specifications. Estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. All work is to comply with local, Federal and State codes and is subject to Davis Bacon wage rates. Current wage determination is: IL20070002 dated 02/09/2007. The solicitation will be issued seeking full and open competition. The requirement will be awarded as a single award, fixed price lump sum construction contract per FAR 36-207(b), a single award is anticipated. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal using solicitation number: AG-52B1-S-07-ORB6002. NAICS: 237220, Size Standard: $28.5M apply. Offers are solicited on a best-value basis considering price and non-price factors. Non-price related evaluation factors include past performance, technical capability, leadership in energy and environmental design (LEED), quality control and safety. Evaluation factors are listed in descending order of importance. Evaluation factors when combined, are equal to price. The performance period is 425 days after award and issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Copies of applicable plans, drawings, and specifications will be available for viewing at the Shawnee National Forest Shawnee National Forest, 50 Highway 145 South, Harrisburg IL 62946.
