Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). The Solicitation number is F1S0AZ7023B001. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-15 and DFARs Change Notice (DCN) 2006-12-19. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 3728. NAICS is 336413 and the size standard is 1007 employees. The 412 TW/PKD, Edwards Air Force Base, CA has a requirement for: Repacking of Spin Stall Recovery Parachute Systems (Quantity 2 each). The specific requirements include: Statement of Work for Repacking of Spin Stall Recovery Parachute Systems; Price should include all of the following: 1. Incoming tear-down and full inspection of Spin Stall Recovery Parachute Systems; 2. Conditions assessment by the Rigging, and where necessary, Engineering team; 3. Repair of any minor damage, at vendor?s discretion. All damage will be noted and will be reported to the customer, along with a disposition recommendation and/or a price to complete the repair; 4. Rigging and repacking; 5. Acceptance testing (Where applicable) and Certificate of Conformance; 6. Packaging for shipment, using the incoming shipping container of Spin Stall Recovery Parachute Systems; Interested parties who believe they can meet all the requirements for the items described in this synopsis are invited to submit in writing a complete quote including delivery to Edwards AFB CA 93524. The FOB point is destination. Offerors are required to submit with their quote enough information for the Government to evaluate the minimum requirements detailed in this synopsis. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes.
