Description

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), in support of Joint Program Executive Office, Joint Tactical Radio System seeks information on how best to meet the Department of Defense requirements for software definable radios as defined in JOINT TACTICAL RADIO SYSTEM (JTRS) OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS DOCUMENT (ORD), Version 3.2.1, August 2006. We are soliciting responses from all interested parties on behalf of the JTRS Network Enterprise Services (JNES) Product Line located in San Diego, California. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. The JNES product office is responsible for defining, developing, and deploying a set of common network and gateway services. These services, used by all JTRS form factors, provide for the management and interoperability of legacy and networking waveforms and the ability to route and retransmit information between dissimilar networks within the JTRS. Additionally, JNES products allow for the integration of network planning information into a common network management system to support the creation and configuration of JTRS networks at all Service command levels.
