Description

The Maritime Administration (MARAD) requires the services of a single qualified and responsible Contractor to perform the operational functions needed to support MARAD's Fleet-wide Shipboard Water Chemistry Treatment Program. MARAD intends to procure those resources (supplies and services) necessary to ensure the effective operation of fresh water systems aboard MARAD's cargo oceangoing steam, marine diesel and gas turbine propulsion vessels and their associated cooling water systems and evaporators or other fresh water generating equipment. The period of performance is one year with four one-year options. It is anticipated that RFP DTMA1R07003 will be issued on or about February 16, 2007 at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days after RFP issue. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit an offer which will be considered by MARAD. The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
